Employee Benefit Management, Inc. (EBM) was incorporated on August 15, 1977 in Hampton, New Hampshire. Since 1996 our headquarters has been based in the Portland, Maine area. EBM is a full-service Employee Benefits Broker, a licensed and bonded Third Party Administrator (TPA), and an Enrolling Firm of Core and Voluntary Worksite Benefits. Our services include negotiating with carriers for the best value for employers and employees; benefit communication and education; enrolling benefits and managing enrollment data, including new hires, qualifying events, terminations and changes; administration of payroll deductions, billing, and bill reconciliation; and interfacing with carriers.
For over 3 decades EBM has specialized in working with employers nationwide to help them increase the benefits they provide for their employees without additional employer costs. Our strategy is to design plans that provide optional, voluntary programs to supplement existing employer-paid benefits.
Through our large network of insurance providers, we are able to provide benefit opportunities unlike those offered by any single carrier. Because our benefit counselors are salaried, not commissioned, they have no incentive to influence coverage decisions. Our benefit counselors are trained to give employees answers and guidance in selecting a program of benefits that is best for them and their family. Our spectrum of products, service, enrollment capability, and administration provides our clients with all of the elements needed to create a successful Employee Benefit Program.
Beyond setting up the deductions in the payroll system, EBM will handle all administrative functions, and will handle any employee questions relative to coverage/payment details. Our proprietary Automated Administration System provides efficient, accurate premium reconciliation.
